Safety Guidelines and Warnings

⚠️ STEPDEK Safety Guidelines

Using STEPDEK the wrong way can cause serious injury. Don’t skip this.

Ladder Stability First

Do NOT use STEPDEK if:

  • The ladder rungs are bent, damaged, or loose

  • The ladder is on a sloped, unstable, or slippery surface

  • The ladder itself wobbles, shifts, or feels unsafe

Reminder: STEPDEK does not fix a bad ladder. If the base isn’t stable, the platform isn’t either.

One Person. One Purpose.

STEPDEK is NOT a:

  • Seat

  • Workbench

  • Tool tray

STEPDEK IS:

  • A standing platform for one person only

  • Rated for a maximum of 250 lbs total load (user + tools)

Exceeding this limit increases the risk of falls and failure.

Installation Requirements

Only use STEPDEK on:

  • A secure, properly placed A-frame ladder

  • A ladder rung no higher than 6 feet

  • Dry, solid, level ground

Before use, always:

  • ✅ Make sure the ladder is secure and level

  • ✅ Check that rungs are undamaged

  • ✅ Confirm the ground surface is stable

  • Secure STEPDEK firmly to the rung

  • Tighten the fastening bolt completely

❌ If you can't check all of these, don’t use STEPDEK.

  • USE CAUTION WHILE ON LADDERS
Ladders can cause serious injury or death.

  • NEVER exceed 250 lbs

  • NEVER install above 6 feet

  • NEVER use on extension ladders or uneven surfaces
